Scouting offers fun, challenge and adventure with over 200 activities from Archery to Zorbing. We believe in helping our members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and make life long friends.
Young People from Devon are now on the way to Japan. The young people were selected over 2 years ago and have undergone training before leaving. We'll keep you posted as we receive updates from the units.
Sunday 26th July - Unit 21 and 22 have now settled into their home hospitality. Unit 22 visited a service station and have already encountered their first Japanese vending machine.
Monday 27th July - Young people have been taken out to places like music concerts, troop nights, castles and Universities.
Tuesday 28th July - The young people have now arrived at the Jamboree after leaving HoHo. Unit 22 even found time to give a quick interview which is now available online
Wednesday 29th July - Unit 21 survived their first night! Communication from the site is limited, will supply more updates as they are received.
Run to the Fun is a Jamboree being organised by Devon Scouts. The Young People will be taking part in many exciting activities including Red Hand 10m High Trapeze, iCircus, Vertical Extreme Climbing Tower, Clay and many more. Scouts and Explorers are currently learning the Samba dance ready for the opening Carnival.
