Keep up to date with the Explorers Calendar ¦ Explorer Photo Gallery ¦ Young Leaders

Explorers are one of the newest sections, they were formed at the request of the young people who were leaving the movement, the new section has stopped the drain and we have grown as a county over the last 10 years, there are over 900 explorers in Devon.

The idea of the explorers being a district unit is so the leaders can help arrange the activities that the Explorers was to take part in, it is difficult with only 6 or 7 but with 20 or 40 the opportunities are endless. Most of the ideas for activities should come from the young people and the leaders help organise.

Young Leader Training Camp 2013

Young leader training camp was held at Great Potheridge house, the event was another success with over 40 young people completing modules towards their young leader training. Young People complete modules A - K, we were able to offer module K (First Aid) this year.
