Network
What is Scout Network?
The Scout Network is a dynamic, self-motivating Section. The ethos of the Section is that it is run by Members, for the Members: achieving a balanced programme of activities for 18 year olds up to their 25th Birthday. Our Network is based at County level, but meets locally in Exeter, Plymouth and North Devon. Find your local Network. We camp as a county at national and county events such as Intense, Run to the Fun, Pub Scouts and Sun Run.
A member of Scout Network you could be:
1, a member of a local Network
2, a Leader with another Section
3, a Helper or Skills Instructor
4, a member of the Scout Active Support
5, a member in another capacity
Queen Scout Award
Check out our new website section dedicated to the Queen Scout AwardScout Networks are supported by a Scout Network Leader. As well as this, each local Scout Network should elect a Chair person from its membership, who will represent the views of the local level at the County Scout Network Council.
The definition of a Scout Network Member
18 to 25 year olds must opt-in to the Scout Network. This means actual joining the Network, as there is no longer an automatic membership. This has implications for anyone who is completing Queen Scout Award, Chief Scouts Diamond Award or Explorer Belt, as membership of the Scout Network is required to complete a Scouting Award.
