Jamboree Denmark 2012

DENMARK’S LARGEST JAMBOREE EVER - 35,000 Scouts!

From 21st to 29th July 2012, 35,000 young people and adults will come together at Jamboree Denmark 2012 in Holstebro in the western part of Denmark.  Unlike the UK where we have only one Scout Association, in Denmark there are five internationally recognised Scout and Guide associations.  For the first time ever all five of these associations will be coming together to celebrate the worldwide family of Scouting.  This will therefore be a major piece of Danish Scouting history and we have the opportunity to be part of it.

The Danish Scouts and Guides will be joined by several thousand foreign Scouts and Guides.

It is very rare to get the chance to experience a Jamboree as large as this.  Only the last World Scout Jamboree was bigger.  This is therefore a very unique and special opportunity … DON’T MISS IT !

Will you be at least 13.5 in August 2012?  If so you're invited.  There will also be opportunities for over 18s.

Whilst we cannot confirm a cost yet, I anticipate the total cost to be in the order of ÂŁ800, but there will be opportunities for you to do fundraising.

ACTIVITIES, FRIENDS AND MUCH MORE

At Jamboree Denmark 2012 you will be able to take part in numerous exciting activities, learn new skills and meet friends that you haven’t met before.  The experience of sharing some incredible events in the arena with 35,000 Scouts will be something that you will remember for the rest of your life.

In fact, the Jamboree will offer so much that you won’t be able to do everything!

THE JAMBOREE THEME

We meet each other – we change the world – I develop myself.

Jamborees are always a chance to meet friends that we haven’t met before, to explore other cultures, global issues and the wider worldwide family of Scouting.  Ultimately they are the chance for us all to develop ourselves, become better people and to seek to make the world a better place.  In short they are an awesome experience which is difficult to put into words …. You need to be there to discover for yourself!  Just ask somebody who’s been to a Jamboree.
