    It has been a while now since I last wrote for Devon Scouts since taking a short retirement post Run To The Fun, In that time nothing much has happened until last weekend. Theme Park Camp, organized by Summit Network, Surrey, is hosted every year 20 minutes away from Thorpe Park.  The concept is simple, you rock up Friday Evening – party – go to Thorpe Park by Red Bus Saturday morning, enjoy yourself even more, return for supper – party – and leave Sunday morning (lunchtime in reality, lie-in included!). In practice it works spectacularly well and you have a lot of fun. There are three major benefits to this camp: firstly, no Scouts anywhere on camp, none at all; only Explorers and Network present. Secondly, Thorpe Park is an amazing theme park! I cannot stress this enough. You may have had the nice, little and quaint Woodlands camp when you were in Scouts, but it’s time to enter the big league. Thorpe Park has some mega rides with the mega scare factor attached,...
