Skills of Leadership (Module 8) Validation

Instructions for using this form.

Some of the questions can easily be covered by a simple short answer, maybe a sentence or two but others may require answering in greater depth.
Any notes, diagrams, pictures, short videos, witness statements from another adults or anything that is relevant to any of your answers can be uploaded in the section below the last question.
Section Leaders will need to answer all the knowledge check questions 1 – 5 and two tasks from section 2.
Always give as much information as possible, concentrating on the element that you have personally contributed to.

Section 2. Complete Two from the following.
a) Use a systematic planning tool to complete a task, provide evidence of your use of the tool and discuss the experience with your Training Adviser
b) Explain the Action Centred Leadership model and apply it to an activity which you have run recently.
c) Using a questionnaire, or similar tool, identify your preferred leadership style, and how it impacts on your role in Scouting. Reflect on the four different leadership styles and consider how they inform your working in your section or Group or District Leadership Team.
d) Produce evidence showing how you have led an event or activity during which your leadership style changed several times.
e) Run a game or activity to develop leadership skills in young people or adults.
