Devon Scouts, are supporting the amazing work of Mercy Scouts in Uganda. Mercy Scouts International is a not-for-profit Scout based relief and development organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. They have many active projects, all of which are about improving the lives of children, families and communities.
Mercy Scout’s main focus is the less privileged people of Uganda who are unable to gain access to the basic necessities of life (i.e. food, safe water, shelter, proper clothing, healthcare, education). These people who constantly face injustice are forced to cope with life at its harshest.
Mercy Scouts make wristbands using recycled and waste materials. We currently have a limited supply of these with the words Devon Scouts and in the Devon flag colours. By making a donation of at least £5 for one of these wristbands, you can wear it with pride knowing that every penny has gone to supporting the amazing work of Mercy Scouts. A £5 donation will provide five children with clean drinking water for a year or provide one child with one mosquito net to protect him or her against contracting malaria.

To support Mercy Scouts, please make a donation via the following Devon Scouts bank account:
