Manager & Supporter. Lead Volunteer Workshop

This workshop will provide lead volunteers with the skills, tools & networking opportunities to manage and support their teams within Scouting. Devon has decided to adopt this user-friendly approach to make learning more relevant to the roles volunteers actually have.

What will be covered.


Topics covered.

A realistic look at:

  • Communication and feedback within our Scouting family
  • Getting, managing and keeping adults
  • Supporting your team
  • Motivating the unmotivated
  • Disagreements and the niggles that make the job hard
  • Neurodiversity within your teams
  • Leadership styles
  • Identify steps to implement their personal action plan.

About the course.

This day will be run at the Teignbridge District HQ, Newton Abbot. (See map at the bottom of the page).

Sessions start at 10.00 and will consist of interactive whole group learning sessions, small group work & individual reflection. All sessions throughout the day will be supported by group facilitators and trainers.

You will need to provide lunch, but refreshments will be provided. Please ensure you advise of any allergies on the booking form.
