Developing our adults

So Scouting is going through transition, including the learning journey for adults. Learning is now all about the individual and what they need for their role.

This journey has now these stages:

Safety & Safeguarding learning needs to be completed via the ‘My Learning’ portal, within 30 days and renewed every three years

For the foreseeable future we will continue to support learners with the following skills:

  • Skills of leadership (Module 8)
  • Working with adults (Module 9)
  • Growing the section (Module 13)
  • Residential (Module 16)
  • Practical Skills (Module 18)
  • International (Module 19)
  • Manager and Supporter Skills Courses

If you wish to complete one of these skills courses, please contact us.

All First Response course can be found on our Learning Diary Page.

This training is a national scheme, so if you decide to move out of Devon to a new local Scout area, your training record goes with you.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
